How To Market Your Articles: Signature Files And Resource Boxes

Signature Files

A signature file or ‘sig’ is a message at the bottom of your email. It’s a little paragraph including your signature at the end of an article or e-mail. With the sig file you have an opportunity to market yourself to people.

For instance I might sign off my email like this:

Regards

Dr Sola Adetunji
 http://www.adetunjisola.net

This is a very small sig file, but it does one important thing!

It tells people that I am Dr Sola Adetunji  at http://www.adetunjisola.net

People are naturally curious and if they see that http://www.adetunjisola.net
Is a clickable link they are likely to click on it thus taking them to my site.

You could be more adventurous with your sig file and  offer a free article.

People love getting stuff for free.

Resource Box

A resource box is similar to a sig file but occurs at the bottom of an article. It is basically a longer sig file of about 3 or 4 lines long.

First you have the text of your article and then underneath the resource box which ‘finishes off’ the article.
It should necessarily lead people to your site or your affiliate programme or a place for more freebies
